YEAST INFECTION HOME REMEDIES – Yeast infections are primarily caused by some fungus that is present in our body but excessive amount growth results in these infections. Mostly a female body is affected by yeast infections and among them, the most common type is vaginal yeast infections. Although sometimes men too get affected by yeast infections. Yeast infections create irritation in the affected area of our body and can get worse if ignored. But it can get cured at home also. In this article, we will be discussing some yeast infection home remedies that are proven to be helpful.   1.     Apple cider vinegar –
    The yeast infections are mainly caused by a fungus called Candida albicans and using apple cider vinegar in case of these infections is a great home remedy.  This is one of the best home remedies for yeast infections. Use a half cup of apple cider vinegar in one bath and soak it for a minimum of 20 minutes. But never use it in a full-fledged manner as it can kill the good bacteria of our body as well.

    Coconut oil has natural ingredients to fight funguses. Research has shown the antifungal properties of coconut oil. To get the result you just need to apply it to the area of the infection directly for a few days.

    Boric acid has antiseptic properties that work really well in case of vaginal yeast infections. Many people recommend using a boric powder capsule of 600 mg once daily and continue this step for 14 days. But this should be used mildly because it is very potent and can also cause harm.

    Not only garlic but also garlic oil has proven antifungal agents that work against yeast infections greatly. This is more useful in cases of vaginal yeast infection. Some studies state to directly insert the garlic clove into the vagina. But not many females are comfortable with this so it would be helpful if you increase the number of garlic in your food to get the same result.

Intaking vitamin C-rich foods like citrus or other food elements consisting of vitamin C works great as one of the remedies for yeast infections. Use two or three drops with some other carrier oil such as coconut oil or jojoba oil and apply it to the infected area to get better results.

Aloe vera gel has antifungal nature which is useful for infections. You can easily apply aloe vera gel to the infected area of the body daily at least two to three times. Not only this but you can also drink aloe juice to get remarkable results. Drinking aloe juice helps to increase the number of white cells in our body and helps to build immunity against yeast. Aloe vera juice can be mixed with any sort of fruit juice for drinking.

    Green tea is another drink consisting of rich antioxidants that build our body to fight against yeast infection. Consuming green tea regularly will provide better results. Also, some studies recommend that cooled-down green tea bags can be directly used on the inflamed area. Another way of using green tea to your own benefit is to add some loose green tea leaves to bathing water.



There are many other yeast infection home remedies as well, such as – oregano oil, yoghurt, hydrogen peroxide, etc. Although any kind of yeast infection can be prevented by leading a healthy lifestyle, consuming a lesser amount of sugar, maintaining personal hygiene, wearing comfortable loose clothes, etc. It is stated that these home remedies work great in case of yeast infections but there are also instances of infections coming back again. The symptoms of itchiness, redness, rashes, etc. may disappear for some days and can occur again. In this case, the infected person must consult with their doctor to start medication and treatment.
